Winning Communities has established its Certified Winning Community program to honor those cities, towns or counties who have acheived success as a result of their vision and action planning.

The Certified Winning Communities program is a community development program open to any county, city or town that seeks to create a vision and action plan for its future success. This three-month certification process is awarded to a community that has completed a series of action steps toward achieving its identified goals and objectives, as outlined in the Winning Communities vision and action planning process. Each community that designates Winning Communities as its community-planning partner has the opportunity to be eligible for this unique designation as a Certified Winning Community.
Several organizations endorse the Certified Winning Communities program, including the Community Bankers Association of Illinois and The Association of Indiana Counties. The program fits in well with the organizations’ missions, in getting bankers, economic leaders and other citizens involved in improving the community, developing a consensus, defining goals and achieving success.
